Rocky Top Family Medicine

Rocky Top Family Medicine began operations in November 2024. As a family-owned and operated medical clinic located in rural Mooresburg, Tennessee, we stand out in the area by not being part of a large corporation or healthcare system.

Our vision was inspired when Dr. Joshua Proffitt relocated to this area and recognized the necessity for medical care focused on patient needs and enhancing overall health. His aim was to establish a genuine FAMILY medical clinic, operated by family to serve families.

Remaining committed to our mission of being family-operated, our team consists of two providers: Joshua Proffitt, MD, and his sister, Lindsay Proffitt-Bland, PA-C, who deliver exceptional patient care. Meanwhile, their mother, Stephanie, serves as the Clinic Administrator, and their younger sister, Chelsea, is the Administrative Assistant managing daily operations. Additionally, Dr. Proffitt's wife, Olivia, works behind the scenes as the Community and Social Media Coordinator.

The clinic offers medical services for patients of all ages and accepts most insurance plans. We offer chronic disease management, pediatric care, weight loss management, acute care, urgent care, home visits, and more. Walk-ins are welcome because illness is often unplanned! Same-day and next-day appointments are available. The clinic operates on Mondays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from Tuesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
